Press Release Author: Jane French

Industry: Entertainment

Press Release Summary: Congratulations to Investors in People Ambassador, keynote
speaker and TV presenter Penny Mallory...

Press Release Body: Pen Hadow

Polar explorer Pen Hadow has been extremely busy recently since the publication of
his new book "Solo - The North Pole Alone and Unsupported". Pen appeared on Desert
Island Discs, Radio 4's Excess Baggage, Radio 5 Live and also in many newspapers and
magazines such as The Times, The Independent, Daily Mail, Geographical, Men's
Fitness and Esquire. Solo has already been reviewed as The Sunday Times Book of the
Week.

Pen is much in demand as a motivational speaker where his business background allows
him fluently to combine the excitement of exploring with the practical application
of commerce. He can talk with authority on team-building and draw on his experiences
of strategic planning and commitment. He is also equally at home with more informal
after dinner speaking about his polar adventures.

Pen's is already planning his next expedition which will be announced at the launch
of the paperback version of SOLO next summer.

Matthew Pinsent
Quadruple Olympic gold medallist Matthew Pinsent has just announced his retirement
from rowing The 34-year-old ruled out the chance of a fifth gold in Beijing in 2008,
saying: \'I\'m announcing that Athens is my last race in a Great Britain vest."
Matthew won his gold medals in Barcelona, Atlanta, Sydney and the most recent in
Athens last summer.

Matthew was a member of the International Olympic Commission as an athletes'
representative and is now widely expected to be offered a job with the International
Olympic Committee by the end of the year. This will probably mean being appointed
chairman of the British Olympic Association as this is a requisite of full IOC
membership. He is already actively involved in London's bid to stage the 2012
Olympic Games.

Matthew is an effective motivational speaker and always a popular choice with
delegates.

Sir Clive Woodward

Former England Rugby Coach Sir Clive needs little introduction as the man who
steered the England team to success in the 2003 World Cup. When first appointed in
September 1997 England were ranked 6th in the world. Clive re-thought and rewrote
the rule book on coaching and running a successful international team.
Sir Clive has a strong business background having worked for Xerox and Portfolio
Leasing both in the UK and Australia before establishing and running his own
successful finance company. As an amateur rugby player he played rugby for Leicester
Tigers, was capped 21 times for England and toured with the British Lions.
Notwithstanding his coaching commitments for the forthcoming British Lions tour to
New Zealand Sir Clive is an excellent and inspiring speaker for business audiences.

Penny Mallory

Congratulations to Investors in People Ambassador, keynote speaker and TV presenter
Penny Mallory who has just married the Worldwide Marketing Director for Pirelli
tyres. They will be honeymooning in the Caribbean this month. Earlier this year
Penny and her fiancé bought a derelict Vicarage in Oxfordshire which Penny has
really enjoyed renovating. It is probably no coincidence then that she has just won
a job being the anchor presenter for an innovative new interior design and lifestyle
channel which will be broadcast by Sky. Penny is better known at present as a
champion rally driver, motoring presenter, safety campaigner and journalist.

People in the News
Former senior TV weatherman Bill Giles was the main guest at a recent conference
held by Medway Council in Kent. The "Joining Up the Energy Agenda" event brought
together a number of experts. Bill chaired the conference and also gave his own
thoughts on why we need to act now on global warming. Bill is pictured here with
Judith Armitt, the Chief Executive of Medway Council.

Sky News Presenter Vivien Creegor chaired an historic UN Peace Conference held in
Geneva on Nov 22/23/24. The Women Defending Peace Conference brought together some
amazing names such as Hillary Clinton, Susan Sarandon, Kofi Annan, Nelson Mandela,
Desmond Tutu, Boutros Boutros Ghali, and Princess Basma of Jordan to name but a few!
An excellent facilitator Vivien is also a good after dinner speaker with many behind
the scenes stories from her BBC news career.
